The home does need updates. For example, the bathroom is very much stuck in the 90s with the beige tile and builder-basic fixtures.

But at least you’re not paying for someone else’s questionable renovation choices.

You’re paying for potential, location, and the sheer thrill of owning a detached house in Toronto for under $600K in a neighbourhood where homes usually sell for $1.3 million.

And while the house is in a great spot for commuting and amenities, it does have a front parking pad. With a permit. In Toronto. For about $300 a year.

That alone feels like a minor miracle when we’ve seen parking spots go for over $100K in this city.
